To get my students back into the swing of things, we decided to all make New Year's Resolutions, one for home and one for school. The kids wrote their resolution on an index card and taped it to their desk. We will be checking up on it periodically.
For the hall, they wrote their resolutions on the belly of paper plate penguins and we put them in the hallway. To complete the scene, students are making snowflake story maps for their favorite books of 2012. I love it when the kids are working on something they think is fun but are learning something from it. Ideas?:)

Just Getting Started
It is really hard to believe that we are in the year 2013. I like to try something new every year and this year decided to try blogging. Any tips, tricks, or advice definitely welcome!
